Second move on the market for Castellana Grotte. After the signature of spiker Simmaco Tartaglione, the club announced the addition of outside hitter Vincenzo Tamburo, who played last season at Cantù. Born in 1985 in Empoli, Tamburo played in the past for Perugia, Padova and Treviso (where he came up and made his pro debut) and had 8 years of experience in the Serie A2 ( with Cantù, Sora, Perugia, Santa Croce, Bassano, Isernia and Mantova). He is the second all-time scorer behind Cazzaniga with 3196 points in 218 games played. In the last championship, he finished tenth scorer with 15 points per game.

“I am extremely satisfied – said Tamburo – Castellana showed great interest in me, I am sure I made the right choice. Hopefully this will be a great season, I hope we’ll enjoy ourselves and have some excellent results”.
