An Italian champ in Tuscania

Over a year has past since the day we saw him desperatly in pain lying on the floor during the game Ortona-Tuscania: Pier Lorenzo Buzzelli’s knee had gone. A severe injury brought a long stop on the side line but Pier Lorenzo has a lot of character and he bounced back with Sora, with a historical season that ended with the league title and the promotion in the SuperLega. The outside hitter already played for Tuscania: in 2012-13 he played for Brolo and met Paolo Tofoli there, the coach brought him to Tuscania the following season and obtained promotion in the A2. He was not as effective the following season in the Serie A2 as the team lacked experience to face such a demanding league. But he still scored 894 points in two years, then he showed all his tenacity and determination to overcome his knee injury and contribute to Sora’s success with a nice 53.3% in attack when called upon.
