Civita Castellana finished tied in third place with Tuscania but due to the bitter tie-break loss against them in the last round, they take fourth place. A new phase will now begin with the playoffs quarter-finals, to begin this Sunday against Reggio Emilia.

“We played to win as we always do and we really wanted to take the derby and that third place – said sport director Vittorio Sacripanti – We’re disappointed to finish behind Tuscania on the number of victories because we’ve been ahead all season. We played 8 tie-breaks and won only two of them. On the one hand, this shows we never give up but this is also a data we have to reflect on. We’ll therefore take on the fifth in the league, Reggio Emilia, who we have beaten with great difficulty in the regular season, but the playoffs are a totally different competition”.
