Tsvetan Sokolov is a Civitanova player. The strong outside hitter born in 1989 already played in Italy from 2010 to 2014 with Trento and Cuneo. In the past two years, he was in Turkey with Halkbank Ankara (he met Civitanova in the Champions League Playoffs 6 this season in March). The Bulgarian is only 26-years of age but already has an impressive prize list: 2 Champions League, the Italian and Turkish league, 2 Italian Cups, 2 Italian SuperCups and 3 World Club Championships.

“I’m extremely excited to join Civitanova – said Sokolov from Poland where his Bulgarian national team has just won the Wagner Memorial in Krakow (he was named MVP of the tournament) – Civitanova is a great club I have always admired. We’ll play for honours and for me this is crucial. The fact we can play in many different competitions and have our chance to go all the way is extremely motivating for me”.
