Now that Alessandro Tondo is gone, Giulio Silva was appointed new captain of the team. Ludovico Dolfo will be vice captain. Silva and Dolfo are the most experienced players of the team and the club wanted to reward them for the superb last season they had.
« I am extremely pleased, this is a great satisfaction – said Silva – This means they appreciated what I did last season. I am extremely proud of that. I am somebody who has character and I never back down, so this decision will not affect much the way I conduct myself, but this will definitely be an important responsibility. A good captain has to be the link between club and locker room. This is a positive responsibility. We’ve done ten days of training so far and I am confident because the group is earger and everybody works hard. We’ll probably have to wait 2-3 weeks to see the results of the work done but things are going well ».
