Ivan Raic will stay in Monza for the coming season. The outside hitter born in 1989 arrived in Monza last January and had an excellent second half of season. The Croatian came up in HAOK Mladost Zagreb, where he played a Challenge Cup final with Perugia in 2010. Then he played for three years in Greece, spent a short spell in Pineto (A2) before making the league-cup double in Montenegro with Budvanska Rivijera Budva. In 2014-15, he began the season in Turkey before moving to Sète and finishing third scorer of the French league. Last season, the Croatian registered 16 appearances, played 55 sets and scored 237 points, of which 21 aces and 15 blocks.

“I am extremely satisfied to have the opportunity to play another season at Monza – said Raic – The SuperLega is one of the greatest leagues in the world and I can’t wait to start working with my new teammates. Hopefully, I’ll be able to help the team improve on last season’s results, even if we know the level of the league got even higher. Hard work, determination and strong team spirit will be our main weapons”.
