Together with Goi, Torres and Van Garderen, Fabio Ricci will represent the link between the past and the present. The middle blocker has the ideal profile for the team of the future: he grew up near Ravenna and he’s still young. He signed a three-year extension.
“I am glad that the club decided to keep me again – said Ricci as he faces his fourth season at the club – I am obviously delighted to stay. I was hoping to get a new contract, it’s nice to be part of such a young group, in which the ‘oldest’ are 26 years old. As for the team, the staff has done a great job. Some very strong teammates are staying, and some new guys with big potential are coming in. I don’t know the other middle blocker Kaminski, but I know he’s coming from one of the best American college, so I’m confident. The level of the league has gone up but I am sure we’ll have some positive results. We will fight till the end to try to get into the playoffs”.
