Before the break dedicated to the Volley Land and cup final, Cantù will travel to Montefiascone to take on Tuscania. The latter is currently fifth in the table following its tie-break victory over Alessano on the road. Cantù is seventh but could catch up Tuscania with a three-point victory. But Cantù is coming off two straight defeats, the last against Sora, three if we include the loss in the Italian Cup.

“We gave it a good fight until the very end in our last game but unfortunately we did not manage to take any points – analysed coach Massimo Della Rosa – But credit to Sora who showed all its quality. The next one will be a tough road game against a team that has two very strong spikers, Shavrak and Mrdak, and an experienced setter like Monopoli who will definitely give us food for thoughts. But we have to get back on track and get something out of it because it’s all tight in the table and the teams behind us are putting the pressure on”.
