The end-of-year event “We More United” was held on the evening of Tuesday 20 December at the Parma e Congressi Hotel, organized by Volley Parma in collaboration with Area Italia and dedicated to the sponsors. An opportunity to exchange greetings before the Christmas holidays, get to know the numbers of the Gialloblù galaxy more closely, which also includes the youth sector of Energy Volley Parma and allow companies and partners to interact and relate to each other. The evening, hosted by the journalist Simone Carpanini, was opened by the general manager of Volley Parma, Francesco Ughetti, who focused, first of all, on the results of the first team, at its absolute debut in the Serie A3 national championship Credem Banca, in which, at the end of the first leg, he occupies ninth place in the standings at 18 with an overall balance of seven victories and six defeats. “It is a tiring year from all points of view but we are very satisfied with what we are doing. The first part went quite well, we are a totally new team, penalized up to now also by various injuries: for now we have had a fluctuating championship however, if we look at the points, we are satisfied. We are aware that we can compete with everyone, it depends a lot on us but we can play every game. It’s a complete squad that, even through the changes, is able to overturn the inertia of the match, half of the roster comes from Parma and this aspect distinguishes us from other realities that don’t have a youth sector behind them and are unable to recruit local athletes. Then off the field we showed that we have a good team that works together, all passionate people who are growing as a team and staff and this is essential to carry the project forward”. A reality rooted in the fabric of the territory, as demonstrated by the various initiatives in the social sphere and the average of 1370 spectators per game at the PalaRaschi, the highest of all Serie A2 and A3.
