There are 16.5 million interested parties in SuperLega Credem Banca in Italy, with a growth of 59.2% in the last 5 years. The data emerges from the June 2023 survey of the ongoing Sponsor Value research by StageUp and Ipsos considered the auditel of Italian sporting and entertainment events which has monitored, since 2001, the following, the media attitude, the image, the return of sponsors and the cheering areas for the main Italian and international sporting events.

Also noteworthy is the parallel growth in the number of enthusiasts, i.e. those who follow the events of the Championship on a regular or fairly regular basis. Fans in June 2023 will reach 5,756,000 (34.8% of the total interested).

Interest in the Event is mainly concentrated in the age group between 35 and 54 years (48.5% of the total) with one of the most balanced gender presence among the events monitored by Sponsor Value (56% males and 44 % females).

Massimo Righi (President of the Serie A Volleyball League): “We are satisfied with the results of the StageUp and Ipsos survey, an analysis which has allowed us to monitor the progress of our following for years. Once again we confirm that we are attentive to new social dynamics, and on this I can only congratulate our Clubs, exceptional in communicating and narrating our sport, and always looking for new fans. We are still in second place in the virtual ranking of the championships with the highest number of interested parties, and this also makes us proud. However, these positive sensations are in no way synonymous with satisfaction: we are continuing to work tirelessly to improve ourselves every day, starting from the collaboration with Volleyball World, the partnership of FIVB and CVC Capital Partners with which we aim to further increase our value and spectacle of our championships”.

Giovanni Palazzi (President of StageUp): “The further growth of the SuperLega championship finds its origins in the synergy that Lega Volley and the participating clubs have managed to find between the newfound live participation of the public in the sports halls and the strengthening of communication via the internet initiated during the pandemic period. A growth process that also continues on an international level, thanks to the excellent competitive quality of the Championship, but also through synergies with Volleyball World, the partnership between FIVB and CVC Capital Partners which already allows the Super League matches in streaming to be visible in Worldwide”.
