Yesterday evening, Friday 28 April, at the “Meeting Space” of the CRC Foundation, the FIÖI project was presented to the local and Piedmontese political and sporting institutions, to the major foundations active in the area and to all the members and sponsors of Cuneo Volley. Fioi means children, young people and the goal of the Biancoblù Club is to “train young talents” through team sport, through volleyball. The Cuneo nursery has been doing this well for a long time, now it’s time to do it at 360°.

The location where we can grow together has been identified, on land in Spinetta (fraction of Cuneo), where a few meters away, housing is already being renovated in a building to welcome even more athletes in the guesthouse next season. A complete and avant-garde sports center will be built in this space, with two regulation fields and a grandstand for the public, as well as a wellness centre, a gym open to the public, a space dedicated to management and offices and finally a café where all the realities involved can “contaminate” each other on a daily basis.

As the President Gabriele Costamagna underlined during the presentation – “We want to help train talents by bringing cohesion through sport between the three main players in the growth of children: school, companies and families.” – companies too, like schools, are actors in personal training and growth and therefore at the basis of the project.

Training can be divided into:
– education
« Understanding the dynamics and needs of an athlete at certain levels and the importance of giving youngsters the opportunity to participate in a private school as well as a public one.»

– sports training
« It’s not just physical, but it also involves companies because we train the collaborators of the future; in our gyms we teach them to work towards goals, to work hard to achieve them, to work as a team to achieve them and finally to get up if this doesn’t happen, giving a positive meaning to the word failure.

– personal growth training
« Through the sharing of success stories in various fields, not only sportsmen, entrepreneurs, managers, artists and sportsmen will share their story with the families of our children. Because talent doesn’t necessarily have to lead only to the pitch, but it can do it anywhere!”
