Is your sport volleyball? Yes, but also the triple jump. Because Elia Fraccaro, in the blink of an eye, went from a regional championship like that of D, to the third series in order of importance. Elia, in fact, has been promoted from the youth sector to the Belluno Volley first team: he will have the role of libero and the task of covering Simone Orto’s back.

DIFFERENCES – But, in general, this eighteen-year-old with eyes shining with wonder is ready to play his cards. And to show off everything he has inside: «It was a big leap, but I’m fitting in as best I can with a group of people who have experience, personality and help me a lot. Slowly, slowly, I try to create my own spaces. In the meantime, I’m having a lot of fun.” The difference, compared to last season, is substantial: «I noticed it above all in the speed of play, as well as in the intensity of training. The sessions are on another level compared to what I was used to.”

IMPACT – Fraccaro does not hide his pride: «I am very happy to represent my city, in the sport I love. I want to work, to demonstrate that I too can play volleyball, despite being the smallest in the group. I know I’m the tail end of the wagon, but I want to make an impact. And I will try to support my teammates.”

IN TUNE – The relationship with Simone Orto is one of complicity: «We immediately entered into harmony, even before the preparation began. Simone has already come to my house, we went out several times, I introduced him to Belluno: we really have a good bond. I’m pleased to have a libero like Orto in front of me.” The rhinos march together: «The collective is united for a common cause. We can’t wait to get on the field, with the aim of bringing Belluno to the top. The conditions are important.”

OPPORTUNITY – Elia knows how to balance pragmatism, concreteness and ambition: «Already carving out a role for myself in the sessions during the week represents a step forward, but I would like to defend these colors also during the championship matches. I hope to have such an opportunity. We are certainly aiming high.” Already from Sunday 15th, when the blue and whites will receive Cus Cagliari at the Spes Arena (3pm), in the A3 debut, while on Wednesday 11th (4pm) they will be on stage in Motta for the last pre-season test.
