Francesco Gagliardi is preparing to conclude his first season as Technical Director of the Youth Sector of Volley Prata. It will do so with the VP College, a week of technical improvement, which will take place in Piancavallo in the week between 27 August and 3 September: its first edition has already sold out with members from Sardinia, Tuscany, Trentino, Veneto and Friuli.
But Gagliardi’s fervent activity never stops and it is therefore natural that he is already planning and planning the 2023-2024 season for boys and girls of the thriving yellow and blue nursery.

“I think the balance of my first vintage in Prata was satisfactory – is his first affirmation – even if, for my way of being, I believe that the satisfaction is still partial as I am well aware that there is a lot to improve. In the next season we will try to increase all those aspects in which we believe we have been deficient or not at the highest level. The thing that makes me happy is that the work of our youth sector has acquired a programmatic identity. And this goes beyond the competitive results, which are certainly gratifying. We’re talking about a technical level approach that has developed over the years both as a collective and as an individual path that allows the kids to have a base of technical mastery suitable for the medium-high level in which, hopefully, they will be able to go and play. The additions to the technical staff fully met expectations, both for work in the gym and for the development of a sense of belonging to a work group”

What are the most significant news or changes compared to the season that is about to start?

“A novelty of which I am particularly proud are the additions to the staff of Jessica Vascotto and Mauro Rossato who will give a further extra quid for the development of the technical rudiments for the youngest, also being able to take advantage of each other’s work skills in the field of coaching and behavioral analysis, and the other the experience of national teacher in the training area of Fipav. We will trust young coaches such as Giorgia Giacomini and Giorgia Borin who will have a few more tasks and we have structured the sector even more by inserting both the U12 and the separation between U14 and U15 allowing the 2010 boys to gain gaming experience in one year important without having to remain in the background compared to older kids. Like Volley Prata we are pushing for our region to imitate other committees that now also establish the U14 championship in addition to the institutional ones.
