Last Sunday, on the occasion of the home match with the Volley Team San Donà di Piave, WiMORE Volley Parma, involved in the Serie A3 national championship Credem Banca, brought the Sport Delegate of the Municipality of Parma, Davide Antonelli, to the bench as a guest, in place since the end of December. A prestigious presence, not crowned by a victory (the Venetians prevailed 2-3 in the tie-break) but functional in making the institutions feel close to one of the main sporting realities of the city which, after several years, has repopulated the stands of the PalaRaschi, where even in the last round over a thousand people were registered in the stands (to be exact 1029, with a seasonal and absolute record in A3 in the Regular Season of 1808 spectators in the match against Fano on 23 October last). “It was a wonderful experience – Antonelli’s words – an incredible emotion because for me it was the first time. I’ve seen so many dynamics that you often don’t notice from outside and from the stands, I’m sorry for the result but the team tried until the last minute and a few more points would have been enough in the end to bring home the victory”.

What does it mean to see more than a thousand people at PalaRaschi after a long time?

“Even that effect seen from the bench was really important: the stands were full, the public and citizens close to the men’s volleyball team in A3 which is continuing its adventure in mid-table in a national championship. The path is there, there was a lot of public and we must, they must continue like this “.
