On the one hand, the possibility of closing the series and advancing to the semi-finals, on the other, the opportunity to avert elimination and return to play for the eventual best in Lombardy: heavy goals up for grabs on Wednesday 19 April 2023, with opening at 20.30, between Bcc Castellana Grotte and Pool Libertas Cantù.

Appointment with great volleyball at Pala Grotte for game 2 of the quarter-finals of the Playoffs promotion of the national championship series A2 Credem Banca of men’s volleyball. It starts again from the comeback success of the team coached by Giuseppe Barbone at the Pala Francescucci in Cantù: a feat that gave Bcc Castellana the possibility of playing the round to the semi-finals at home, a feat certified by only three home defeats by Cantù this season.

A somewhat unexpected scenario that has renewed the enthusiasm in the Bcc Castellana house, so as to lead the club to set the single cost of the entrance ticket to the match on Wednesday 19 at 2 euros (all favorable entrances suspended).

“We want to feel close to the warmth of our public and our fans – commented the president of the Bcc Castellana Grotte, Nino Carpinelli – The Pala Grotte has always represented a very important element for us from the point of view of support. The technicians, the staff and the team showed great determination in Cantù, a great desire for redemption and also strength. Game 2 thus becomes an important match, but also an opportunity to testify to our boys that we all believe in this path. Cantù remains a strong team, with individuals of absolute value and with a strong roster. The playoffs remain a road full of difficulties and pitfalls. But, as demonstrated in race 1 in Lombardy, anything can happen”.

“In these two days, between Sunday’s match and the next one, we worked above all to recharge the batteries, refresh the mind and regenerate the muscles – commented the Bcc Castellana Grotte coach, Giuseppe Barbone – In Cantù, the psychological effort is was important, but the reaction from the third set onwards was significant and gives us great confidence because it testifies to the fact that we can stay in this series with important values. Now we’re also counting on Pala Grotte because they’ll come here to put pressure on us at every point and we’ll still have to be ready to get us out of these situations at every moment of the match. From this point of view, the support of our fans, also and above all in difficult moments, could obviously be fundamental”.
