WiMORE Salsomaggiore communicates the confirmation of the libero Alessandro Zecca, who was already part of the Serie A3 roster last year and in the past had made his debut in the first team also among the cadets. Born on 11 December 2004 in Reggio Emilia but always resident in Parma, Zecca, a product of the nursery and fresh out of high school at the “Marconi” Liceo Scientifico in Parma, went through the whole process of the youth team (in Under 16 he was his next coach Alberto Raho, together with Matteo Meli, to move him to the libero role) until he made his debut in the Lega championship on November 6, 2022 in the home match won 3-0 over Monselice. Then a few more positive appearances in the match in progress, in place of the owner Cereda, which led the club to bet decisively on one of the most interesting prospects of the Gialloblù “cantera”. A promotion that Zecca welcomes with a smile. “Confirmation means a lot to me because this is the club where I was born in volleyball and the fact of playing in my city’s team is an even greater source of pride. I predict a very stimulating season that will require commitment and perseverance and in which we will be able to obtain a lot of satisfaction with the group that will be formed”.

How useful was the first year in A3?

“It helped me to settle in, get to know the dictates of the championship and introduce myself to the world of the ‘grown-ups’. I thank all the teammates, the coaches and the club for the opportunity they have given me and will give me again this year.”

What are your personal expectations?

“First of all, grow as a player and make my voice heard on the pitch. Then, of course, at team level I would like to win as many games as possible.”

What do you feel you can improve on?

“I feel that I can and I absolutely want to improve in defense and in reception, the goal is to put a few more bricks in every training session”.
