The final playoff series of the A2 championship will resume on Thursday 25 April when game 2 will be played. This time the match will be played at the PalaEstra, in Siena, after Grottazzolina prevailed and won 3-0 in match 1 which was played yesterday afternoon in the Marche region. The match will kick off at 7pm, tickets to watch the match are already on sale online on the CiaoTickets platform. The PalaEstra ticket office will be open on Tuesday 23 April from 5pm to 7pm, Wednesday 24 April from 12pm to 2pm, and Thursday (match day) from 4pm onwards.

The series is best of three games. If Emma Villas Siena wins game 2 then the series will be extended and game 3 will be played, which would be played in the Marche region on Sunday 28 April. However, if Grottazzolina also wins game 2 then the Marche team will be champions of A2 and will gain promotion to the Super League.

In game 1 Yuasa Battery had an excellent approach to the match and was appreciated for its quality of service and at the same time for excellent receptions and game constructions. The first round was won by Grottazzolina, on Thursday it will already be time for race 2.

The President of Emma Villas Siena Giammarco Bisogno releases some statements in view of game 2 of the playoff final against Grottazzolina: “Yesterday was a strange match, the team played a different volleyball compared to the last matches played. Perhaps we suffered a bit of tension and perhaps even a very heated and intense atmosphere at the Grottazzolina sports hall. Yuasa Battery is a very strong team, they are certainly the best team in the championship and moreover they finished first in the regular season. They played a great match, while we can do better than in game 1. I believe that we must reflect on the match we played because our team must return to being humble, compact, combative and gritty; qualities that he highlighted practically throughout the championship. We must quickly reset what happened yesterday and have within us a great desire for revenge in race 2. The boys must remember that this is a final and it’s not every day that you play a final, so this must be done with maximum concentration and determination.”
