Conad finally breathes a sigh of relief, with the 3-1 victory on Sunday evening they save themselves by continuing to play in Serie A2 after fourteen straight seasons.

The Reggio Emilia team doesn’t stop: once the first qualifying stages of the play-offs are over, the round of 16 of the Italian Cup will be played in which Conad Reggio Emilia will participate, who will face the loser between Siena and Brescia in the play-off quarter-finals. Before thinking about the future, Reggio enjoys the victory and celebrates salvation. Nicola Sesto, center back and captain: “This victory means we have reached the minimum objective for the season. We did it with excessive suffering, but we were good at not disuniting and therefore bringing the boat to the safe harbour. I think this club and this team deserve another year in Serie A2.” Romolo Mariano, spiker and vice-captain: “It was a hard-earned and deserved salvation after everything we went through, we gritted our teeth, sometimes it wasn’t enough, but in the last period we managed to bring out something more. Today we have completed the work and therefore salvation is done.”

Fabio Fanuli, first coach: “Finally we can say that we are safe. We completed this season’s mission, it was intense, at times tough, but we brought home salvation in character. I’m here to thank all the staff, because it has been an intense and very beautiful journey. We are really happy and satisfied with this victory and with how we concluded this season.”
