The “smallest” of the 2025/2026 Allianz Milano roster, despite his two meters and more, comes from Bassano del Grappa, he turned 18 in January, but already brings with him important international experience in the blue jersey. Alessandro Benacchio is the new middle blocker of the team of president Lucio Fusaro. He will complete a roster of four middle blockers available to coach Roberto Piazza. Benacchio faces the SuperLega championship for the first time after growing up in the youth sector of Bassano and having played the last seasons with Volley Treviso in Serie B.
In his career, two medals stand out with the youth national team: the gold at the Under 17 European Championships in 2023 and the silver at the Under 19 European Championships in 2024. It is precisely with the Under 19 that he is participating in the internship in France (until Sunday 6) after the training camp at the “Giulio Onesti” Olympic Training Center in Rome. The Azzurrini, led by Francesco Conci, are preparing for the World Cup of the category, which will be held in Uzbekistan from July 21 to August 3.
Alessandro Benacchio was born on January 3, 2007 in Bassano del Grappa. A central player, he studies at the scientific high school and will attend the fifth year in Milan. His nickname is “Benak”, he loves listening to music in his free time and could never do without his friends.
