Sviluppo Sud continues its preparations for the Serie A2 championship, which kicks off on October 20th at the PalaCatania with a match against Macerata (8:30 PM).

In this preparation phase, coach Paolo Montagnani’s team continues to test their tactics and conditioning with a series of high-profile friendlies. Their next match is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th in Palmi, where they will once again face Taranto, a highly-equipped Serie A2 team they faced a few days ago (a 2-2 draw in their training session).

This will be a useful test to consolidate their understanding and rhythm of play, ahead of their official debut.

Center Cosimo Balestra summarizes the situation, expressing his enthusiasm for the team’s progress: “We’ve gotten along very well; we’re a very close-knit group both on and off the pitch. These three friends have gone very well, both technically and in terms of character. I think we’re ready to tackle this season at our best.” I’m getting along really well with all the guys, the city is fantastic and I think we’ll get to the start of the championship really fired up, because we’re a group of guys who want to do well.”
