Consar will face a challenging yet stimulating challenge tomorrow afternoon. At the Pala De Andrè—with referees Jacobacci of Pellestrina and Nava of Monza kicking off at 6:00 PM—Prisma La Cascina Taranto, relegated from the SuperLega and among the candidates to return to the top division, where they have played for the last four seasons, will take on the challenge. After two league games, the two teams are tied in the standings: Ravenna has played two tie-breaks, winning the home game against Porto Viro and losing the one in Macerata, while the Apulian team began their A2 campaign by losing 3-0 in Fano and winning at home by the same score against Romeo Sorrento.
“Taranto is a top-level team,” Consar assistant coach Saverio Di Lascio introduced tomorrow’s match, “with a roster built to advance. Having worked in Taranto, I know full well how tenacious and determined this club is in pursuing its goals. This is also demonstrated by the signing of opposite hitter Lawani a few weeks ago, a player who makes the difference.”
