The beach umbrellas are closed, sunscreen, swimsuits, and beach volleyballs are stowed away: summer is giving way to a new sporting chapter. The 2025/2026 season of Banca Macerata Fisiomed is about to kick off, ready to offer exciting challenges.

The players, supported by a technical staff that has been planning their work for some time, are arriving from every corner of Italy to gather in our Macerata, which will be their headquarters at least until next spring. Leading the operations during this phase is team manager Giuseppe Spernanzoni, who is overseeing every detail to ensure the best possible logistical and other aspects of organization.

As previously announced, head coach Romano Giannini will be at the helm of the team, tasked with enhancing the players’ potential and guiding them with his experience and determination. Just 24 hours before the first training camp of the season, we had the opportunity to interview the coach, who shared his first impressions and his ambitions for next season.

Hi Romano, the transfer window is closed, and all eyes will now be on the pitch. The training camp is about to begin. How are you feeling?
I’m very pumped and excited. These are probably clichés like “I can’t wait to get started,” but for me this truly feels like a fresh start after these four years as an assistant coach.
