The first new faces at Aurispa Links per la Vita have been announced. They are, in order, the setter Filippo Marsella and the opposite spiker Riccardo Quarta.

Marsella, born in 2002, began his career in the youth teams of Volley Calimera (2020/21), and then graduated provincial U19 champion the following year with the Lecce Volley jersey. The following years saw him play three consecutive Serie B championships, respectively with the Green Volley Galatone, Pag Volley Taviano and BCC Volley Leverano jerseys, before the last stint in Serie C with Virtus Tricase.

These are his first words: “It will be my first year in A3, so I’m very happy to start this new adventure, but also a little excited about the change of category. Despite this, I’m excited, I can’t wait to get into the gym and get to work straight away to give my contribution to achieving the team’s goals. I’m curious to find out how I will be able to adapt to these levels and I will make myself available to fill any gaps and be ready.”

Quarta, on the other hand, was born in 2001 and is 197 cm tall, he grew up in the youth teams of Conad Lecce and made his debut in the first team with the same jersey in the Serie C championship. In 2023/24 he made the jump to Serie A3 with Leo Shoes Casarano, and then moved to Virtus Tricase, with whom he played the last sporting season.
