Great youth volleyball in Umbria: spectacular performances and quality at the first edition of the “Sir ITS Under 17 Cup.”
This unprecedented international tournament was conceived and organized by Andrea Piacentini, Technical Director of Perugia youth sector and coach of the Under 17 team that participated in the tournament, and by scout coach Luca Palazzetti, scoutman for the youth sector and assistant coach of the Under 17 team. The event, which highlighted the young talents of tomorrow’s volleyball, was hosted at the PalaSir headquarters in Santa Maria degli Angeli and at the municipal gym in Rivotorto di Assisi.
On Saturday, January 3rd and Sunday, January 4th, the two facilities hosted the first edition of the “Sir ITS Under 17 Cup,” which brought the best of national and international youth volleyball to Perugia. Eight participating teams: Diavoli Rosa, Sir Safety Perugia, Fenice Roma Pallavolo, Consar Ravenna and three foreign teams: Latvia National Team (Latvia), AZS Stoelzle Czestochowa (Poland), Prata Volley Academy and ASV Dachau (Germany).
