His story is his calling card. Dreams must be pursued, and he is the perfect example. Spiker Daniel Rubin Frage, born in 2006, of Israeli origins, German by birth and Italian by adoption, is ready for his big debut in the Credem Banca Serie A2 championship: after signing a two-year contract, he is the first red and white fullback revealed for next season!
A unique past, full of courage and satisfaction, now brings Daniel to Macerata with the knowledge that he can learn a lot from Coach Giannini’s advice: “I know the coaches and staff; I understand how much experience they have and how much they can teach me.”
Starting out in Germany as an unregistered player, “weaning” himself at the Diavoli Rosa up to the A3 league, then a strong experience in Galatone, the former U17 national champion has volleyball in his blood, and his strong life choices also demonstrate this, as can be seen in the number he’ll wear: “I chose number 16 because the day after my sixteenth birthday, I took a flight to Italy with the dream of playing here, without speaking the language and without the slightest idea of what awaited me during these years. I decided to take a step that changed my life.”
If Daniel says he chose Macerata to grow both technically and mentally, it’s the word “maturity” that’s often cited for next season. “I hope for a season that will make me more mature with its challenges, both as a player and as a person.”
