The Bergamo-born spiker, born in 1997, is a veteran of the division, having made 349 appearances and scored over 3,400 points. “Finally, our paths are crossing. At this point in my career, I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”

Consar’s first addition for the upcoming A2 championship will strengthen the attack. Roberto Cominetti, born in 1997, arrives from Consoli Sferc Brescia. He’s a strong and experienced spiker, as well as a deep knowledge of this league, having played in every league except for one season in the SuperLega with Monza. Cominetti has played with the same Brianza team, Cantù, Mondovì, Taranto, Reggio Emilia, Bergamo (his hometown), and Brescia, among other places on his journey in the division. Cominetti arrives in Romagna with an impressive track record: two championships, three Italian Cups, and a Super Cup won between Taranto, Reggio, and Brescia, 349 games played, and over 3,440 points scored in his career, 1,269 of which came in his last three seasons in Brescia. “I’ve long wanted our paths to cross,” the new Consar spiker said, “after so many years as opponents, and when the club’s offer came through, I immediately accepted. Ravenna is a city that knows and lives volleyball, a sport that has written many pages of history. The club is serious and reliable, so much so that there isn’t a single person in the industry who speaks ill of it. I know Valentini is an excellent coach; he works hard in the gym, is meticulous, and has outlined a technical program for me that aims for another very competitive season. Everything I was looking for.” In Ravenna, Cominetti reunites with Riccardo Goi, with whom he shared the A2 victory in Taranto, and Saverio Di Lascio on the coaching staff. “As soon as the offer came through, I called Ricky: he instilled enthusiasm, energy, and motivation that made my choice even more certain. I know I’ll have to contribute my experience and strength in attack, and I’m ready to do so. The strength of the group will make the difference, and I believe that hard work in the gym, team spirit, and a strong sense of purpose will allow us to have a great season and be competitive in an A2 league that has significantly raised its level in recent years and that I expect to be tough and balanced next season as well.”
