Folgore will be led by Coach Nicola Esposito in the 2026/2027 A3 season.
The best A3 coach of the 2024/2025 season and leader of the fantastic treble, Coach Esposito, has been confirmed at the Sorrento team. The following season, he led his team to a deserved relegation in their first year on the A2 pitches and qualification for the A2 Italian Cup.
We’re restarting in the A3 series, after a great season in A2, a well-deserved relegation and qualification for the A2 Italian Cup, and good results in the Junior League.
After a few days of overcoming the bitterness and disappointment, we’re back stronger than ever. Little has changed, except for the cities where we’ll be playing and the names of our opponents. Our commitment and desire to succeed will remain unchanged. So I’m very happy to stay.
Judging by the names circulating, it will be a challenging southern group. What kind of team will Folgore be, and what aspects of their game will you focus on?
I’m very happy with the team we’ve built; it will be an offensively driven team. We’ll try to build balance day after day by working hard; our strengths will be our organization and playing systems. The championship is extremely difficult; the technical level has improved in recent years. It’s not a very long season, so every Sunday it will be important to score as many points as possible while avoiding any slip-ups. Other teams are very well-equipped, with big names, strong rosters, and top coaches. It will be a fun championship; we hope to be competitive and stay among the top teams.
