The second training session between Delta Group Porto Viro and Tinet Prata di Pordenone, scheduled last night at the home of the Friulians, was interrupted prematurely.

The two teams – next opponents on the first day of Serie A2 Credem Banca – decided by mutual agreement not to continue the test match after the injury suffered by Alex Erati in the first exchanges of the fourth set.

The Delta Group middle blocker fell badly on his left ankle from a wall jump and collapsed to the ground. Immediately rescued by teammates and the Nerofucsia medical staff, the Milanese athlete left the pitch to the applause of the very sporty PalaPrata audience.

A 118 ambulance then intervened on the spot and transported Erati to the emergency room of the Pordenone hospital. The first tests have shown a distortion, in the next few days further diagnostic investigations will be carried out after which recovery times can be defined.

As for the match report, the Delta Group was ahead 1-2 at the time of the interruption. The Polesans had easily won the first set (15-25), Prata had won the second on the wire (23-25), while in the third Porto Viro had completed a good comeback and then gained the advantages (24-26).
