Loreto’s opponent in the quarter finals of the A2 Cup will eventually be Gioia del Colle. Despite a 3-2 win against Catania, Luca Moretti’s team did not hold onto the third position and therefore finish fourth at the halfway point of the league with 30 points. Loreto dominated the first two sets before the host rebelled. And led by an outstanding Zanette (31 points), it forced a tie-break, which went nonetheless to Loreto.
