In its first playoffs game against Cavriago, the fans were there again to help the team past the first hurdle in what has been a game full of emotions. After two wild first sets from Ravenna, Bonitta’s team found its rhythm. Ravenna struggled in the third but was back in shape in the fourth. However, at 22 all, a mistake had Cavriago on its way to the tie-break. That’s when Ravenna stepped up and set off to a good lead, never to be caught back. The return game will be in Reggio Emilia tomorrow at 8.30pm.

“Cavriago is a team that never gives up – said Coach Babini – We have to be extremely satisfied with this positive result. In the playoffs, there are no standings, what matters is to smash down the winning point and win the game. Then, you just start all over again, and now we’re going to Reggio knowing we have two games to seal the series, but hopefully we can already qualify on Saturday night”.
