Medei: A special victory

“We spent the last few days receiving the congratulations and thanks of all the people that follow volleyball in Latina – explained coach Medei as Latina managed to stay up with a game in hand – It was impossible not to realise that last Sunday’s victory was not like any others. When I look back on the circumstances we faced this crucial encounter, I still have shivers: our main man would not play, his only possible substitute had not trained for the past few days and other players were not hundred percent fit. I remember that just before the start of the game, I was following the warm up hoping I could line up a team that could make it difficult for our opponent (Roma)”.
