At the beginning of the season the whole entourage of Volley Segrate was cautious and, as newly promoted side in its first experience in the A2, its aim was to stay up. Game after game, win after win, things turned out to be a lot brighter than expected, until a brilliant six position and the qualification for the playoffs.
