Born in Parma in 1968, Roberto Piazza has been appointed as Cuneo’s new coach. Piazza, who was a player in Parma before becoming assistant coach there, signed a two-year deal. A long partnership with Bagnoli followed, for years in Treviso and then in Russia with Dynamo Moscow (league-cup double). He came back to Treviso for his first experience as head coach, following the club as it moved to Belluno last season. He won the Cev Cup with Treviso in 2010-11.
“I am extremely honoured to take this new challenge as head coach in a top Italian club like Cuneo – said Piazza – These are opportunities that do not happen very often in life”.
