On Saturday, Thomas Berretta found his name into the list of 14 to defend the Italian flag in the next European Championships to take place from September 20 to 29 in Poland and Denmark. Yesterday, he flew out to Germany where he will play two friendlies with Italy.
“So far it’s been a summer like no others – said Beretta – It’s been a fantastic experience with the national team, a nice World League, and now we’re about to start to European Championships. We’ll go there and do beyond our best. Hopefully, I’ll come back to Modena the latest possible which would mean we went far with the Italian national team. Having said that, I can’t wait to start with Modena too”.
