Three days after the big match against Trento, Piacenza celebrates another home victory, the ninth in a row at home, against Latina. But there was more to this encounter as halfway through the first set, Zlatanov, the best scorer ever, reached the 9000 points scored in his career. He was named MVP, while Kaliberda registered 78% in reception and 14 points. Latina tried everything possible in the last set, but overall it’s been a straight forward game without any twists and turns.
Luca Tencati (Copra Elior Piacenza): “The important thing was to win to put pressure on Macerata. We must maintain the heat on and keep focused even if some games might look easy”.
Salvatore Rossini (Andreoli Latina): “We have done a good job in the last set, we made it hard for them, we avoided to concede aces. We really wanted to bounce back after the first two sets, especially after being dominated in the second”.
