The record man of appearances with Padova (403), Andrea Garghella, leaves the club to focus on his big passion, beach volley. Andrea was an exemple for everyone, he was just the perfect team player, someone who could adapt to any situation and always ready to give everything both in training and during games.
“I have so many great memories – he said – It’s always easier to remember the funny moments, while we tend to erase the bad ones. I remember some coaches falling like coach coach Bagnoli who stumbled on Rob Bontje who was doing his stretching! Davide Tovo and Marco Meoni have been among my funniest teammates, along with Domotor Meszaros and Marco Piscopo. I have to say the first few years were more fun because we did not all have our cel phones on the bus so we had to find ways not to get bored. As for the results, I remember the season 2007-08 as the best one. We were very strong. We had taken Platenik and Diaz just before the transfer deadline and they’re precisely the ones who made the difference”.
