Matteo Pedron has been suspended following the events of the game against Brescia. The club is adamant there were some irregularities and were victim of an unfair decision. President gave credit to Brescia for their victories but claimed Castellana was “badly hurt by the excessive display of the main referee”. While praising the level of the referees in Italy, he firmly believed “certain decisions were awful and were painful to see”. The result is a three-match ban for Pedron. “We’ve never seen anything like it – added the president – Besides, the ref got it wrong because Pedron was not the one to have said the things that were claimed at the end of the game, we have witnesses of this”. Castellana will face Alessano in the next round.
