As the media have reported, Peter Veres will not be part of the Piacenza team 2015-16. But the club secured the services of talented Canadian John Gordon Perrin. Born in Creston on 17 August 1989, the spiker is therefore the last addition of the club. Strong in attack, he is also very effective in reception. The Canadian star played for three years in the Champions League and one year in the CEV Cup (2015) with the Turkish side of Izmir. He helped the team win the league in 2013. He’s been part of the Canadian national team since 2010 and can now boast a total of 78 appearances for his country. And coach Glenn Hoag counts on him for the coming World Cup starting this September 8 in Hiroshima. In 2014, he finished fourth of the World Cup in Poland.
