We’re off! Coach Castellani, his staff and players gathered this morning for the first day of the pre-season. Many being on International duty there were four first team players present: the two liberos Andrea Giovi (fourth season in Perugia) and Fabio Fanuli (third year), and two newcomers: middle blocker Alberto Elia and the Bulgarian setter Dobromir Dimitrov.
“I am glad to start working – said the Argentine coach Castellani – I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. I had been thinking and planning since the beginning of the summer and now we can get down to serious business on court. The first thing to deal with will be the physical side, when the other players will join in as well. And then, we’ll need to create a communion in terms of game identity. We’ll first take care of general aspects and then add tactical themes bit by bit”.
