Vibo managed to come-back twice from behind before playing a superb tie-break to qualify for the Serie A2 playoffs final. Reggio Emilia took the first set but it did not take long for the hosts to draw level, but the visitors had more tricks up their sleeves and went back ahead. And Cantagalli’s men had the better start in the fourth. However, as the set advanced, the team coached by Mastrangelo was gaining confidence and making up for their poor start. They took that fourth set and sent the tie to the fifth set. Reggio hanged on till 8-7, but then it was all Vibo with Peter Michalovic as star man (23 points).

Sora had to fight hard to clinch the opening set against Tuscania but then they dominated the following sets to make their way into the playoffs final. Third win as many games in this derby against Tuscania. The visitors did their best but seemed to be a little out of gas after the unlucky end to the first set. Tofoli’s foreigners did create some trouble for Sora in attack, but the hosts kept a firm grip on matters with Mattia Rosso at his best.
