Padova brought in some talent with the 19-year-old Jacob Link. The Sweedish outside hitter signed a one-deal with an option for two more after that. The young prospect boast no less than 63 caps in the Sweedish youth national teams and he made his full debut into the first team this year. Last season, he played for RIG Falkoping and scored 456 points in 26 games.
“It’s a privilege to be able to play here in Italy – said Jacob – This is a country that loves sport and volleyball. I’ve been here many times with the national team and being able to be in Padova, not as a tourist but as an athlete of the SuperLega, is a dream come true. I know me and my teammates will face an intense year in training but I am ready”.
