Molfetta signed middle blocker Gabriele Di Martino. Born in 1997, 200cm tall, he has a lot of talent and he’s eager to emerge. He’s coming off three seasons at Club Italia, where he shined in attack and in the blocking department. Di Martino grew up in Rome and is now part of the Italian National team Under 20 with which he will start preparing for the European Championships from July 16.
“I really hope to make a lot of progress this season – said Di Martino – The quality of the game and training should be top level. I think Molfetta is the right place for me. I like the spirit of the fans here, how close they are to the team. Coach Di Pinto is another reason for coming here: he works well with young players, he has helped many towards the highest level.
