Gi Group Monza is looking for the tie in the series versus Diatec Trentino, after the clear loss last sunday at PalaTrento. Monza, who will show the news sponsorship and partnership with Unilever Italia and Algida ice creams, will try to come back in the series, forcing the quarterfinal to Game 3 in Trento, but will not be easy, as we saw in the previous two games between these two teams in last week, one in regular season and one in playoffs. Diatec Trentino, second place finisher in regular season and Italian Cup finalist, is a team determined to reach the Superleague final. Angelo Lorenzetti’s team will face former Trento’s player Leandro Vissotto, and will be obviously the favourite for the win in the series, after the great game played on sunday.

Pieter Verhees (Gi Group Monza): “They played a great Game 1. they were intense despite our good start in the serve, they always finalized the chances. In third set we were on the edge, it was a balanced game, we had rhythm and continuity. Then they gained confidence, and we lost. To force the series to Game 3 we need to force the serve and we’ll need to be strong down the net and in defence, taking all our chances”.

Sebastian Solé (Diatec Trentino): “Will be a different game than Game 1 on tomorrow, Monza is a team that never give up, neither under pressure. They will play in front of their fans and they will give everything to gain strength and enthusiasm. We will need to be focused and careful”.
