Castellana Grotte won his first game on the home turf at PalaFlorio in Bari, defeating Taiwan Excellence Top Volley Latina with some important absences, as Sasha Starovic and frenchman LeGoff. Coach Lorizio’s team had great offensive rhythm since the start by winning the first set 25-22. In the second Adriano Di Pinto’s team fought back and won with authority 25-20 tying the game with a good perfomance by Cristian Savani. In the third arrived a red card for Latina’s bench and the home team won easily 25-17. In fourth once again greek Georgios Tzioumakas put alot of balls on the ground, finishing the game with 20 points scored. together with a great defensive performance by libero Cavaccini and a great offensive effort for Bruno Canuto (20 points for him and the award of Mvp of the game), Bcc Castellana Grotte won fourth set 25-22 and game, debuting in Superleague with a great win.
