Giovanni Scaffidi is a new player of Aurispa DelCar and is going to lower the average age of the team (born in 2000), adding to the team of spikers at the disposal of coach Pelillo.

Scaffidi (193 cm tall), born in Messina, grew up in the home team, Brolo, to then play in Serie C with Emma Villas and in Serie B for three years with Sir Safety Perugia and one with Volleyball Valli di Lanzo, with whom he came close to being promoted to Serie A, highlighting himself and attracting the interest of various teams. The following year, in the 2021/22 season, he played in A3 with Leo Shoes Casarano and, after a spell with BCC Colli Albani Genzano in B, he returned to compete in the A3 championship to defend the colors of Aurispa DelCar.

The choice of diesse Antonio Scarascia, therefore, is aimed at re-evaluating the qualities of an athlete who expresses his best qualities in blocking and receiving but who, over time, has been able to show off excellent percentages even in attack.
