On Wednesday at 20.30 at the Kioene Arena the rossoblùs are expected for the last match of the Play off preliminaries 5th place against Pallavolo Padova which is first in the group standings with 6 points and two games won 3-0. Gioiella Prisma is at the bottom with 3 points and after losing 3-1 against Cisterna, who is in any case out of the competition, they only have one game available which they will necessarily have to win 3-0 or 3-1 to be able to earn 3 points and compete for the difference in the final score with Padova, to access the next phase.

In fact, in the first leg the rossoblùs prevailed with a well-rounded result, and surprised the Paduans at the PalaMazzola. Another “direct clash” therefore with the Venetians, who the Ionian will face in order to be able to go ahead in the games or say goodbye to the season definitively.

In the last match Padova clearly won with Cisterna, led by the young opposite Guzzo, while Gioiella fell with a final 3-1 against Cisterna.

In the meantime, Verona, Perugia and Modena have come out of the Scudetto Playoffs, as well as Monza which had already been defeated in 4 matches by Trento, so these will be the teams involved in the group stage of the 5th place playoffs who will join the winner, from 3 points, on Wednesday evening between Gioiella Prisma and Pallavolo Padova.

The Greek spiker Andreopoulos Charalampos who returned to the starting six in the last match, expresses himself as follows:

“ Padova is a great team and has shown good continuity of play throughout the season! In these last few games it seems that they want to play all the players available in the squad and still continue to have good results. For our part, we will try to do our best by following the coach’s technical indications.”
