Historic result for Argentina of our middle blocker Agustín Loser who beat Brazil in the night and became South American Champion.

The continental tournament was played in Brazil, with the final in Recife where Loser and his teammates blocked the green-and-gold 3-0 with partials 25-19, 29-27 and 25-22. To understand the extent of the event, it is enough to say that Brazil was back from 28 consecutive titles, while Argentina had won its last South American championship almost sixty years ago, in 1964.

Heartfelt congratulations and congratulations to our great centre-back Loser, the absolute protagonist of the hardest-fought set, the second, closed by the Allianz Milano centre-back. “Agu” obtained with the personal booty of 11 points in the final. To the green-gold, silver medal and recognition to Luciano Vicentin as MVP. For the ideal sextet, the prizes went to the playmaker De Cecco (Argentina), the opposite Alan (Brazil), the centre-backs Zerba (Argentina) and Carabali (Colombia), the spikers Lucarelli (Brazil) and Parraguirre (Chile) and the libero Thales (Brazil).

After the Asian title won by Yuki Ishikawa a few days ago, another Allianz Powervolley Milano player on top of the world. A great satisfaction for the president Lucio Fusaro and the whole Powervolley world from the team, to the staff, to the fans, on the eve of a season that promises to be exciting. In the meantime, the season ticket campaign is still open to ensure a front row seat for the whole season at the Allianz Cluoud (click here for all the info).
