Volley Parma is pleased to announce that, starting from the next 2023/2024 football season, Luca Savi will fill the role of sports director, occupied last year by Alessandro Grossi who, as part of a corporate reorganisation, will carry out the position of general manager. Parmigiano, class of ’89, Savi is preparing to live his first experience as a manager after an honorable career as a central defender, above all, on the Serie B fields: raised in the youth sectors of Parma and Piacenza, he then wore the shirts of Piacenza himself , Audax, Canottieri, Busseto, Audax and Busseto again before the last three years at Inzani in C. A valuable addition strongly supported by the new general manager Alessandro Grossi. “Luca’s appointment as new sporting director comes from afar, in the sense that in recent years he often spoke with me regarding technical choices and he is, above all, a friend with whom I shared a good part of my career volleyball. His inclusion in the staff had already been planned for a couple of seasons and he alone had to convince himself to take the step away from playing volleyball. It will be a valuable reference for the sports area and will allow me to take a broader look at the commercial sphere as well, in order to take on a total vision of the company and be able to dedicate more time to our partners at an organizational level. Team manager Aldo Greci will still be with Luca, who is an essential figure for us and who we have come to know since last year: from that point of view, the company can be considered in excellent hands “. For Savi, who will hang up her shoes, it is the ideal closure of a circle. “My first coach was Francesco Ughetti (current president of Energy Volley) then from the youth I started playing with Alessandro Grossi and we found ourselves on the bench Alberto Raho after Sky Volley (Unimade) entered the Volley Tree . So maybe it was written in destiny that sooner or later I would come to work here”.

In what spirit are you embarking on this adventure?

“With a lot of enthusiasm, desire to do, the professionalism that I have developed over the years in other areas and that I will now try to make available to a sports club that is increasingly establishing itself at high levels”.
