The official presentation of the new sports season of the renewed WiMORE Salsomaggiore took place on Saturday afternoon at the Sports Hall of Salsomaggiore Terme, which in just over a week, on Sunday 15 October at 6pm, will make its home debut with the Volley Team Club San Donà di Piave on the opening day of the national Serie A3 Credem Banca championship. The event, hosted by Giorgio Fainardi, opened with an introduction by the general director of the yellow-blue club, Alessandro Grossi. “There are many new things on the way, starting from the arena in which we will play: we are moving from Parma to Salsomaggiore, it is a new challenge but we find a beautiful, welcoming arena which is among the most beautiful in the region. We will have to be very good at maintaining a high number of spectators, doing a lot of promotional activity in the area and then trying to do well on the pitch. We started to make ourselves known in schools, this week our kids went to middle school and we thought that, to fill the hall and support us on this journey, the best thing was to give all students a free season ticket for the entire season. In this way we hope to have a lot of support in an A3 journey which is never easy and we saw it last year, in addition to this we have come into contact with the other sports clubs in the area because we really focus a lot on Salsomaggiore Terme and surroundings. We have done several joint training sessions, we are still a bit of a construction site but we must be ready for next Sunday against San Donà di Piave, in which we will have to try to be concentrated, spirited and immediately with a knife between our teeth as every challenge in this championship it’s not trivial.”
