There are three players from Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza who will participate with the national team in the first stage of the Volleyball Nations League that Italy will play in Canada from 6 June. Yuri Romanò, Fabrizio Gironi and Francesco Recine are greeted on the plane leaving Rome, whom coach Ferdinando De Giorgi has included in the list of 14 called up.

After almost a month of work in Cavalese, in preparation for the long summer season that will see the Azzurri engaged on various fronts, the first tournament of 2023, the Volleyball Nations League, will begin on 6 June and finish on 23 July with the finals they will be played in Poland, in Gdansk.

And if one group has left for Canada, another group, including the red and white Leonardo Scanferla and Edoardo Caneschi, continues to work in Cavalese in view of the next blue commitments.

The TD Place Arena in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, will kick off the 2023 Azzurri season. Opponents in the first week of competitions will be Argentina, the USA, Cuba and Germany. The group’s return to Italy is scheduled for 12 June.
